Impex Corp Ltd. is a Limited Company Incorporated in the Turks & Caicos Islands. It was formed in 1997 with the sole purpose of becoming a leading provider of quality construction building Materials to the Turks & Caicos Islands.

Following is a brief history of how Impex Corp Ltd. was formed:

1985 was the year we came down to the Turks & Caicos Islands. Since the Islands were totally undeveloped when we got there, we had to branch out and offer services that were related to the construction industry. We had to start a quarry and buy road building equipments (Coral Quarry Ltd), we started chartering small ships in 1986 to transport construction materials such as gravel and cement which were not being supplied in quantity, quality and timely delivery. Thus the shipping side of our business.

We also built and owned a small hotel which was the first on Grace Bay in Providenciales, TCI (Was Le Deck Hotel and Beach Club, now the Sibonne). In short, everything had to be done. We were instrumental in bringing the Island from a population of about 900 in 1985 to about 30,000 today, with hotels and condominiums and large private residences.

In the following years we sold the Construction Company(TDMG Concordia LTD) and sold the Quarry and road building equipment to concentrate on the supply of building materials, chartering ships and barges. (Impex Corp Ltd.)

In 1999, we purchased a ship, the M/V Odalys Tons, in order not to depend on chartered tugs and barges which proved to be unreliable. Impex Shipping Ltd now manages the ship(M/V Odalys I) which tramps in the Caribbean.

In 2006 we purchased Tug Modalwan 20123 / Barge LM 2411 which also trades in the Caribbean.
